Jason Wu for Target

Jason Wu catapulted to the spotlight with his cream chiffon dress that Michelle Obama wore in 2009 at the Inauguration Ball. This creation gained him notoriety and even a place in history as this dress is now hanging in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC.  He has continued to dress Michelle Obama as well as celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Reese Witherspoon and Natalie Portman.

And now we get some Wu.  Debuting in select Target stores on Sunday, February 5th, Jason Wu is launching a 53 piece collection of women's wear and accessories with prices varying but all under $60.00. Not bad for some beautiful designer duds. He says his inspiration comes from french new wave films and is  "mischievous"  "nonchalant" and "chic".

Here are some of his fabulous and feminine pieces that will be available:
via
Textured pleated-front peplum top in gold, $32.99; Pleated skirt in black, $29.99; Floral lace clutch in black, $29.99

via
Trench coat in black, $54.99 (also available in navy); Flared dress in black with nude patent belt, $59.99 (also available in white at Target.com only)
via
Long-sleeved sweater in red, $39.99; Pleated cap-sleeved blouse in red, $26.99 (also available in gold at Target.com only); Pleated skirt in navy floral, $29.99

via
Poplin dress in navy, $39.99
via
Straw and canvas clutch in cream, $29.99

via
Cat tote in cream, $39.99

To watch the Today Show interview with Jason Wu click here.

We hear that long lines will be in full affect just like when Missoni hit Target. What do you think? Will you be wooed by Wu?

Easy Peasy Slow Cooker BBQ

First off, I have to give all of the credit for this recipe to Lindsey over at The Bargain Blonde.  She shared this recipe on her blog back on January 24th (you can see it here) and I immediately had a major hankering for some BBQ.  Plus I know that (one way) to my Hubz heart is through his stomach & BBQ is one of his most favorite meals.  So off I went to gather the ingredients for the Slow Cooker Barbecue Pulled Pork recipe and I made it this past Sunday.  OH MY GOSH is it GOOD!!!  We had lots of leftovers & I'd be lying if I said that we haven't been enjoying this over & over & over again.

Here goes...

Ingredients:
2.5 lbs Porkloin (or just a pork roast in my case)
1 small to medium onion, sliced
2 bottles of Lawry's Hawaiian marinade
1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce (for us it's Famous Dave's Sweet & Zesty)

Put the pork, the sliced onion & both bottles of the Hawaiian marinade in your slow cooker...

Cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the pork is easily shredded.

Once that's done, drain the pork & onion using a large strainer so that the marinade is discarded.

Shred the pork (I enlisted Hubz to help).

Then coat the shredded pork with your favorite bottle of BBQ sauce.

Serve on toasted 100% Whole Wheat buns.
("My anaconda don't want none, unless you've got buns hun."  Sorry I had to say it.)

I even went as far as serving the Alexia Spicy Sweet Potato Julienne Fries that Lindsey mentioned in her post.  And let me just tell you...I'M ADDICTED!  Dip them in a little ranch dressing with sriracha sauce...MM MMM!

You guys, this was so easy, incredibly good & you can get several meals out of it.  May I suggest this for Super Bowl Sunday?!?  It would certainly be a crowd pleaser.  Let me know if you guys have a sudden craving for this.
