London in Photos: Day 2

Let's get this show back on the road! Here's a little glimpse of what we did on the Sunday that we spent in London, which also happened to be their Mothering Day (aka Mother's Day to us Americans). The weather couldn't have been more beautiful...such a perfect day!

I couldn't leave London without the classic red phone booth shot...Westminster Abbey made for a beautiful background

I have tons of photos of Big Ben on my iPhone...every time we left our hotel to venture out we had to literally pass right by him  #nocomplaints

Horse Guards Parade

Victoria Memorial statue located just in front of Buckingham Palace

the crowds beginning to arrive for the changing of the guards...for those of you wondering, unfortunately The Queen was not at home that day

the horse guards arriving

a shot of Regent Street while we were out shopping...we enjoyed lunch at Nando's (not pictured)

yet another shot of Ben from the southbank

atop the London Eye

Covent Garden...loved this little area

dessert at Bill's...warm mini cinnamon doughnuts with fresh strawberries and warm chocolate dipping sauce (yummmmmmm)

I'll be sharing my photos of our 3rd day in London soon!

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
