London in Photos: Day 3

We spent our Monday in London much more laid back than the other days, therefore you'll notice a lot less photos in this post. We started the morning out with a tour of the Tower of London with one of the famous beefeaters, then made our way to St Paul's Cathedral and to the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square...just a quiet day steeped in history and art.

approaching the Tower of London, just on the other side of the grassy moat

Tower Bridge just in the background

an interior courtyard...so hard to believe that so much torture took place in this square

I have a major craving for a turquoise front door now

St Paul's Cathedral...highly recommend the audio tour if you ever get the chance to visit

Nelson's Column at Trafalgar Square

No photos were allowed inside of St Paul's or the National Gallery. I would have loved to share a glimpse into both with you.

I promise to be back sooner rather than later with the pics from our last day in London...our favorite!!

  3. I think that's the first time I've ever seen Trafalgar Square devoid of lots of pigeons. Looks like you enjoyed some nice weather during your stay :)
