Love it or Leave it...Nails Inc. Leather Polish

If you've been around our blog for awhile then you know that we have a special soft spot for nail polishes. One might even say that we are a tad obsessed. We love our polishes so much that we even dedicate a monthly post to showcase a polish of the month (as seen here: POTM). Nail trends come and go and most recently it's been all about adding texture to your mani. OPI came out with the Liquid Sand textured polishes and Zoya now has the Pixie Dust polishes, which are beautiful. We just discovered that Nails Inc. London has a line of polishes called Leather Effect. It's new out at Sephora.

What Sephora Says:

What it is:
A leather-effect polish with a high-fashion, textured finish.

What it does:

This polish applies glossy but dries down into a chic leather look without the need for a top coat. Each polish comes with a leather-effect cap that will ensure that the products look as fabulous on your dressing table as they do on your nails. These new shades are ideal for nailing the texture trend.

Available in 5 Shades:

Clerkenwell - Buff
Ladbroke Grove - Pink Coral
Dalston - Pale Blue
Old Crompton Street - Gray
Noho - Black

What else you need to know:
Leather effect polish dries very quickly giving you fashion forward nails in an instant.

How to use:
-Apply one coat of your chosen base coat.
-Apply one coat of Leather Effect polish. Wait two minutes and then apply a second coat. The leather effect will appear as the polish dries.
-Do not apply a top coat as this will take away the leather effect. Allow polish to dry for a few minutes.

Retails USD: $11.00 -- purchase here

What do you guys think? Are you into wearing a little texture on your nails or do you think this is a trend that needs to make an exit? These come in some pretty shades and we are kind of curious if the effect really does look "leathery". We'd love to hear from you guys, so please leave us a comment and let us know if this is a "love it or leave it".

  1. I saw these at Sephora the other day and was intrigued too! The nail swatch they had there actually does look kind of leathery. I was on the fence so didn't end up picking one up- but let me know if you guys try it! Also- I totally think you guys should make your POTM post a link up! I would definitely participate!

  2. Hmm...I am always willing to try new trends out. The leather effect sounds kind of cool. The only nail trend that I did not like so far was that crackle nail polish. It was just weird! Heather

  3. Woah. That sounds really cool. I'm loving the texturized nail trend... but some of them just seem so impractical (ie caviar nails?). I may just have to pick this stuff up!

  5. I definitely like the look of that polish more than some of the other textured ones. I picked up one of the Sally Hansen Sugar Coat ones but I think I'm going to take it back.. It's kinda weird! haha

  9. Hmmm I am not sure how I would feel with that type of texture on my nails...I always like the shinier look. But sometimes you cannot knock it till you try!

  10. Hmm these look interesting! Did you ever try OPI's Suede line a few years back? I wonder how similar these are to the OPI ones!

  11. I actually think this is kind of cool. I don't really paint my nails, but I like this much better than some of the other textured polishes available.
