December Birchbox!

Friday's Fancies: It's the Most Sparkly Time of the Year

This weeks Friday's Fancies was about some "serious sparkle" and we hope that we did {av} and you guys proud with our outfit choice. We had fun mixing textures and colors for this party ensemble and we even had a fictional story line going on in our heads while we created it. See, this is a fabulous single lady ("all the single ladies, all the single ladies"...please forgive our outburst) is heading out to a fabulous holiday party. Beauty Battle: Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off Masque

As we've mentioned in past Beauty Battles, the purpose of these videos is for each of us to try out the same product, then keep our opinions to ourselves until we can share our thoughts with each other while the camera is rolling. This battle is a little different as we are trying out the Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off Face Masques at the same time in front of the camera and then letting you guys know exactly what we think. We literally started the video, let the masque set while watching TV and then came back on camera to show you our reactions.

Mendi's Pick - Essie's Jag-u-are and Leading Lady

I'm not typically a red nail polish kind of girl, but around the holidays, I make an exception. I've been dying to use this Leading Lady red glitter, so I decided to pair it with a red base. Something about red finger nails just exudes the holiday spirit to me! But maybe I need to give red a chance more often throughout the year as well!!

Jayme's Pick - Essie's Beyond Cozy (Winter Collection)

This is the perfect holiday nail polish! It's a very fine gold glitter and had excellent coverage. Two coats was all that was needed. This polish screams the holiday season without being too much that you can't wear it everyday. Just gorgeous! And the best part for me and I do think it's a combo of the polish as well as two coats of my Orly Topcoat, but the above picture was taken 6 days after I painted my nails. 6 days!! And this manicure even survived a long weekend in NYC. I'm beyond impressed. This is a color that everyone needs in their collection.

Thanks for watching! I know that was a lot of stuff!! And here are some photos of my weekend in the city with my mom. We had a blast and were so exhausted by the end of the trip. You just don't stop when you are in NYC! :-)

Holiday Ornament Swap

About a month ago we decided to participate in Dreaming of Dimples and Living in Yellow's Holiday Ornament Swap. We were each paired up with two amazing bloggers who we would send ornaments to and we'd also have another two bloggers who would send ornaments to us. (Fun, right?!?)  It was a wonderful way to meet some new blogger friends and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them, which made shopping for their ornaments so much more personal!! Friday's Fancies: Hot Spiced Cider

For the "Treat Time: Autumn Faves" theme of this week's Friday's Fancies, we thought we'd share a little something to warm you up...from the inside out. Nothing screams fall more than a hot spiced cider and if you're over 21, then we completely endorse making it into a yummy adult beverage for the perfect start to your weekend. As for the outfit we put together, we paired some budget friendly options (the shirt, jeans and jacket) with a few bank breakers (the earrings, bag and shoes...hello Mr Louboutin), but {av} never told us that we had to be reasonable when making our fashion picks.  ;)
