Easy Peasy Slow Cooker BBQ

First off, I have to give all of the credit for this recipe to Lindsey over at The Bargain Blonde.  She shared this recipe on her blog back on January 24th (you can see it here) and I immediately had a major hankering for some BBQ.  Plus I know that (one way) to my Hubz heart is through his stomach & BBQ is one of his most favorite meals.  So off I went to gather the ingredients for the Slow Cooker Barbecue Pulled Pork recipe and I made it this past Sunday.  OH MY GOSH is it GOOD!!!  We had lots of leftovers & I'd be lying if I said that we haven't been enjoying this over & over & over again.

Here goes...

Ingredients:
2.5 lbs Porkloin (or just a pork roast in my case)
1 small to medium onion, sliced
2 bottles of Lawry's Hawaiian marinade
1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce (for us it's Famous Dave's Sweet & Zesty)

Put the pork, the sliced onion & both bottles of the Hawaiian marinade in your slow cooker...

Cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the pork is easily shredded.

Once that's done, drain the pork & onion using a large strainer so that the marinade is discarded.

Shred the pork (I enlisted Hubz to help).

Then coat the shredded pork with your favorite bottle of BBQ sauce.

Serve on toasted 100% Whole Wheat buns.
("My anaconda don't want none, unless you've got buns hun."  Sorry I had to say it.)

I even went as far as serving the Alexia Spicy Sweet Potato Julienne Fries that Lindsey mentioned in her post.  And let me just tell you...I'M ADDICTED!  Dip them in a little ranch dressing with sriracha sauce...MM MMM!

You guys, this was so easy, incredibly good & you can get several meals out of it.  May I suggest this for Super Bowl Sunday?!?  It would certainly be a crowd pleaser.  Let me know if you guys have a sudden craving for this.
