Beauty Battle: Impress Manicure
As we've mentioned in past Beauty Battles, the purpose of these videos is for each of us to try out the same product, then keep our opinions to ourselves until we can share our thoughts with each other while the camera is rolling. This Beauty Battle features the Impress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails...
We're dying to hear your thoughts! Have you tried these? If not, would you? Do they take you back to the old school Lee Press-On Nails? Drop us a comment. We can't wait to hear what you have to say!

I've been wondering about these! I'm always worried about damaging my real nails, so I prefer just old fashioned polish!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried it yet. I am really curious to see your reviews on it because I spend a fortune on manicures and gel polish..so it would be nice to have another option that is more affordable.
ReplyDeletehavent tried impress press-on nails because it does remind me back in Middle School but I have no issues with the Stickies... I love the designs & nail art on those
ReplyDeleteSo glad you girls did this review, I have been so curious about these nails! Wishing I would have done these for the wedding I went to recently...doing the Sally Hansen Salon Effects in the care before the ceremony was not the greatest idea.
ReplyDeletewow , we actually have not tried these but i may give it a thought. thanks for the interesting insight !!
ReplyDeletelove from the NANA girls xoxo
I loved this video y'all! I sure did love Lee Press On Nails back in the day and these remind me of a thicker version of them, but with better and stronger glue. I definitely prefer my natural nails to any fake nails hands down, but these are fun for a special occasion or like what Jayme said for when your nails are just looking bad and you need a quick fix. They were definitely easy to use and I enjoyed the leopard print ones that I had. But I was ready to take them off after the couple of days I had them on.
ReplyDeleteI SOOO remember Lee Press On Nails! I demanded them for my 10th birthday and proudly sported them while riding my bike :) Whenever I've tried these types of things in the past (even acrylic nails), I've always hated how I could "feel" them at all times- like I was hyper-aware of the fact that they were fake. I am such a 'picker' too, so if I sensed that there was a gap or space or lifting, I'd pull them all off (violently ;) doing more damage. I was wondering if these would be any different (cute packaging!) but they sound the same....thanks for the awesome beauty battle girls!
ReplyDeleteSo funny that you guys were so polarized on this product!! I doubt I'd try these, just because I've never done well with even acrylic nails!!
ReplyDeleteI very much prefer my real nails. I don't have too much of a problem growing them out to a nice nail length so I just don't see the point in press ons. Besides that though, I just could never wear them, even when I was younger. I think the shape of my nails are not right for press ons. It seems really expensive for the amount of time they last too. So even though I like the idea of using fun designs for just a random event I doubt I would for the price alone.
ReplyDeleteJayme~ wanted to let you know my favorite and your favorite fragrance is on sale at Target for $19.99 Jennifer Aniston 1 oz..I just went this morn. & I got the 1 oz plus the little baby .25 oz for $19.99 = ) I was so happy the little things in life = ) Now I have a little bottle for when I travel.Mendi~ I agree with you on the press on nails they would drive me crazy. They are pretty though. The idea of wearing one accent leopard nail on girls night out may be doable = )You girls are great! I love your blog & youtube channel= )
ReplyDeleteThat is good to know!! I just love JA!!! And that is an awesome deal! I'm going to look the next time I'm in Target. Thanks so much for keeping me in mind!
DeleteI'm so glad that these didn't get a great review - but I don't love Lee Press On Nails either :)
ReplyDeleteYou know what... I've seen the commercials too and get curious about em just like you gals mentioned! The only thing I'm hesitant about is if they would really stay, and not fling off once I snap my fingers LOL.
ReplyDeleteTrue story... I was in a band concert in 8th grade and watching the choir sing their lungs away... they started to snap and all I saw was this finger nail fly across the stage! I instantly was DYING laughing and I knew exactly who it was b/c all she did was brag about her press on's!!
Thanks for sharing the product review gals!
Congratulations! I nominated your blog for the Sunshine Award because you’re so awesome! You can see your award on my post at http://rivercityfashion.com/2012/05/07/wow-i-received-the-sunshine-award-yay/ (I should have made that a shorter link, right??)
ReplyDeleteI was curious about these ever since I saw the commercial for them!! so glad you both were so thorough in your review!
ReplyDeleteJayme, thanks for peeling a couple off so we could see the process, and what your natural nail looks like later. I don't think I would try these particular brand of press on nails....so intense!
and you girls are hilarious! "cray cray" "ew, that's NAAASTY!"
haha...have a great week you two!

I haven't tried these since I was .. oh I dunno.. YEARS ago! I've never been one for over-lays or acrylics. Anyway, thanks for taking one for the team and trying these!
ReplyDeleteleslie
I have not tried these but I am definitely intrigued now!
ReplyDeleteGreat review. I know another blog who used them and hated them to. So mendi your not alone
ReplyDeleteI think the price is just too high for these. I think I'll stick to polish :)
ReplyDeleteLike most of the other girls I'm a little wary of press-on nails because of the millions of times I tried to do them in middle school and they just popped right off but I may try these out.
ReplyDeleteThey do look very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've been using the Sally Hansen nail strips for some time now. Press-on nails rarely seem to work for me! Lol
