Looking Back at Products #2

Back in February, we started a series where we took some time to look back on products to see if there were any that just didn't live up to our expectations. You can see our first "Looking Back at Products" post here. Since then we have a few things that we just weren't that impressed with, so we wanted to share them with you guys. Just a warning though, we are discussing some products that are really loved by so many. Sorry!  :-)

Products mentioned:
Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
Schick Intuition Plus Renewing Moisture Pomegranate Razor
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold & Bad to the Bronze
MAC Metal-X Cream Eyeshadows in Venetian Tarnish & Gold Carbon
Exude Lipstick in Red No. 1
butter LONDON Nail Polish in No More Waity Katie

Like we said, these products just didn't do it for us for one reason or another.  But, we'd love to know what you guys think if you've tried any of these.  If you have any other recommendations, please send them our way!

Thanks for watching!

  1. Hi dears, hope you have a great start to the new week. My internet is being bothersome at the moment and is loading this video at a snails pace :((
Will come back to it later.
The revlon lip butter sounds lovely.

  2. I also can't stand that razor! It's bulky and I found it to be just annoying.
I have both the lip butters and L'Oreals Balm, but I haven't used the Balms yet. I like my lip butters, but I agree, if you have chapped lips, they don't look good!

  9. I love watching yalls video - you girls are too cute! Makes my day... anyway, thanks for the tips -- it's a good thing I watched because I was sooo wanting to try Butter London nail polish. Now, I may refrain and stick with Essie & OPI :) Plus I can't afford to pay $14 on no bueno polish!! Happy Monday, ladies!

P.S. I just announced an awesome giveaway on the blog this morning & would love for you to enter!! :)

  11. I like SOME of the Butter colors but I still tend to go back to ESSIE.. MAC has a cult following, some folks love it and some don't. I'll be being a post next week on make up application {with a friend of mine that's a make up artist}. She is a huge MAC fan. I'm hit and miss with their products and I think as I've gotten older I need to spend a little more on my shadows..

    Have fun today!

  12. Love hearing your feedback on products and I really look forward to your videos. I cancelled my Birchbox subscription this month. I don't mean to be Debbie Downer but they are sending us terrible products. Its mostly no name skin care, crazy eyeliner stickers etc and last month I got expired products so I'm sticking with My Glam Bag. The Teen Vogue Birchbox in February was awesome and if they sent out a box like that one every month I would definitely keep my subscription. I would be interested to know which boxes you guys subscribe to and whether you think they are a good value for the money.

    1. It is hit or miss with Birchbox sometimes!! Can you believe that is the only subscription that we have so far?? We like the looks of the New Beauty Test Tubes so maybe we will try that one next. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!! Maybe we should try the My Glam Bag too!!

  13. I am not a huge fan of cream eye shadows. I have found that they crease easily.

  14. I have used the Schick Intuition razor but I think I may be using an older version that doesn't dispense a moisturizing cream. It works ok but I've found it does leave my legs a bit dry with some knicks as well.

  24. I haven't tried any of those but I would love it if you would try the beauty blender sponge. I featured it a week or so ago and I haven't tried it yet. If you all don't want to, I'll try it and let you know how it works!

  25. Thanks for your advice on the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold & Bad to the Bronze. I have been watching You Tube reviews and reading beauty blog posts about them for the last few weeks in anticipation of them being launched here in Australia. I am loyal to my favourite MAC Paint Pots so I might not hurry to invest.
