When we received an email yesterday from Sephora we just had to find out what you guys think about this brand new product from Dior.
A first-ever limited edition adhesive eyeliner that comes in styles from matte black to Swarovski crystals
What Sephora says:
What it is:
A set of innovative eyeliner "patches" that are ready to wear in minutes.
What it does:
Designed by Dior makeup artists, the results of these velvet eyeliner appliqués are spectacular. Like a sticker or transfer tattoo, the designs range from the simplest matte-black to the most lavish, lacquered finish bedecked with sparkling Swarovski crystals.
This set contains:
- 4 pairs of eyeliner patches: 2 black ones, 1 all pasted with anthracite grey crystals, 1 black with white crystals
- small glue
What else you need to know:
These adjustable, multipurpose patches are comfortable and easy to apply. Expertly designed and adaptable to every eye shape, they can be applied to the eyelids and to the base of the lashes. Included in a sleek Dior sleeve is a sheet of eyeliners to be applied onto the eyelid.
Currently this is a first look at Sephora and is limited edition and a beauty insider exclusive. This product will be available in all stores on 9/16 (right now they are online only).
What do you guys think? Would you try this? Or is this something that should be left on the runway? We aren't sold on it yet, so it might be a "Leave it". They look like they might be fun to play with, but at $59 the jury is still out.
We'd love to hear your thoughts, so please drop us a comment.
i heard about these a few weeks ago and I can't help but think "How easy to apply are they??" It has to be difficult to get them super close to your lash line and both eyes the same! I might just have to buy them to try it out because I need to know! lol

I'll be honest. When I saw that email, I thought it was comical. =\ I'm saying, "Leave it!"
ReplyDeleteOh lord. I don't know if I could do that, I just finally started getting the hang of putting on eyelashes! I want to see what y'all do with these! Maybe do a battle, go your separate ways and try them on and come back and share the results?
ReplyDeleteThese seem rather scary to me!
They seem really interesting for creating edgy looks but I would never wear them outside. And 59$ is kind of too much...

@ Jackiegiardina - We agree! We don't want to pay that kind of price but we are SO curious!
ReplyDelete@ Shop N' Chomp - It is a crazy concept! Probably why it's limited edition because they don't want to lose too much money on it!
@ Mr.s WASP - We don't even put on eyelashes yet so this might be too complicated! HAHA!
@ Sandra - Agree!
Have you seen these paper eyelashes?

I feel like for the price it's a leave it. I'd TRY for less money but that's a bit ridiculous. Maybe I'm just boring haha. The idea is really interesting, but I don't see it catching on. It's kind of like how nail companies keep REALLY trying to make crackle polishes the big thing when in reality, most people prefer regular polish. At least you can TRY a crackle polish for an affordable price though, and they're foolproof. This seems inaccessible in both price range and difficulty to me.
ReplyDeleteHEEEY :)

59 dollars is too much for me to try it out. I have just recently started using eye liner and I think I'll stick with the original. Though I am curious to see some pictures!

They sound really cool, but with that price tag I can buy a lot of UD 24/7 liners =)
ReplyDeleteI saw this email too and I don't think it is something I would buy. I have trouble applying false eyelashes so this seems like a daunting task. I can't even apply eyeliner to the upper lid straight so I'll pass!
ReplyDelete@ Karen - No we hadn't seen them but we think they are perfect...for HALLOWEEN! :-)
ReplyDelete@ Hannah - Good point!!
@ LA Style Muse - Thanks! We are going to your blog now.
@ Jen - Thanks for commenting! Most people are leaving it!
@ Leonie - We are curious too!
@ Fash Boulevard - Thanks! Going by now!
@ Tropical Mind - Good point girl!! :-)
@ Bravoe Runway - Seems like most people will pass!!
LEAVE IT! I saw these in In Style this month and wasn't sold... great for runway, but not for everday.
ReplyDelete@ The Blonde - We totally agree!
